About the app:
This app enables users to visualise design practice in Bristol and Bath. Select design categories and types, filter by postcode, view lists of designers and view their location in the region on an interactive map. The app is part of wider research project called Bristol and Bath by Design.
About BBxD:
Bristol & Bath by Design is a comprehensive 18-month project mapping and measuring the value and impact of design in the city region.
The project brings together UWE Bristol, Bath Spa University and Bristol University along with regional partners West of England Design Forum, Bristol Media, Creative Bath, the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and the REACT Knowledge Exchange Hub.
We are working closely with companies, organisations and individuals to map the impact and value of design in the city region through surveys, in-depth interviews, focus groups and events and sharing news about the project as it evolves.
Bristol & Bath by Design offers the rare opportunity to contribute to on an exciting and challenging multi-disciplinary project with wide reaching benefits for the region, academic and industry communities.
The project is funded by the Design Council and the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).
